David Luiz Returns to Europe at 38, Joins Pafos FC

Former Brazil international David Luiz (38) has made a surprise return to European football by signing a two-year contract with Pafos FC, reigning champions of Cyprus.

Two-Year Deal Signed Through 2027

The veteran center-back, who boasts stints at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and most recently Fortaleza in Brazil, has committed to Pafos FC until 2027, reinforcing their squad ahead of European competition. After playing in England, France, and Brazil, Luiz is set to discover a new league in Cyprus, bringing vast experience and leadership to a team on the rise.

Champions League in Sight

Pafos FC will soon test themselves in Europe, as they are set to face Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round on August 5 and 12. Luiz's arrival comes as a major boost to their continental ambitions.
