Super Sub Kroupi Nets Late Equaliser As Leeds Rue Missed Chances.

Leeds came into this fixture Vs AFC Bournemouth with two away games played on the bounce. After a perfect 3-1 victory away to Wolves, Leeds were looking to add to their very encouraging start to the season.

Leeds started the game very well with a headed through ball from Sean Longstaff meeting Dominic Calvert-Lewin and he drove through 1 on 1 against Petrovic in the Bournemouth goal, but Petrovic comfortably held his effort.

In the 26th minute, Anton Stach caused a Bournemouth free kick on the edge of the Leeds box. Antoine Semenyo stepped up to fire his effort though the Leeds wall and past Karl Darlow to give Bournemouth the lead at Elland Road.

With just under 10 minutes of the half remaining, Leeds would instantly reply through a bullet header from Joe Rodon. With Leeds feeling they got what they deserved. Just before the halfway point, Noah Okafor went on a run taking on multiple defenders before Bournemouth's Alex Jimenez made a crucial intervention.

Half Time: Leeds United 1-1 AFC Bournemouth

With a dull beginning to the half, It would be Leeds who would strike first through a belter of a strike from Sean Longstaff. His effort smashed off the post and into the corner sending Elland Road crazy!

Leeds shortly after would create again as Jack Harrison struck an effort which forced a great save from Petrovic. With Full time lurking, Bournemouth almost found the net through a headed attempt from Evanilson. His effort was cleared away from danger by Sean Longstaff who was adding to his superb performance.

However, it would be Bournemouth who would deal the next blow as Senesi flicked a cross to back post which found Eli Jr-Kroupi who diverted his carefully placed effort into the bottom right corner sending the Bournemouth away end into raptures.

Farke's Words on a point Vs Bournemouth.

A FEW WORDS FROM DANIEL FARKE:

"It was a valued point. I wouldn't have even taken a point at the start because my aim is play to win. And of course, when you concede late, it's never good in the first instance. But we move on, just compliments for the lads today. But yeah, conceding late is what happens at the top level. I am proud of the performance, proud of how we came from behind. So many likeable things about this, a bit unlucky we couldn't take all three points" said Farke.

A first Leeds goal for Sean Longstaff.

LONGSTAFF'S OPINIONS ON THE POINT:

"I thought it was a really good game between two good sides. I thought we more than held our own in the first half, limiting them to very few clear cut chances. Having this crowd on our side is a massive privilege. Hopefully we can keep picking up points to stay in the league, as there is nothing better than playing in this stadium when in the Premier League. I hadn't scored in a while so I was buzzing".

Leeds came into this London fixture following a 0-0 draw vs Newcastle United before the international break. With five changes to the starting XI, it was always going to be a tough affair at Craven Cottage. Ethan Ampadu was introduced back into the squad. Karl Darlow was brought back into the team instead of Lucas Perri who was out because of injury and he's set to miss the Wolves game too. After breaking out at the Leicester City academy, Monga played a minimal amount of games for the U18s before immediately playing for the U21s Vs Aston Villa where he would pick up a goal and an assist and would never play U18 football again since.
