William Saliba Sends Strong Title Message as Arsenal Target Premier League Glory

Arsenal defender William Saliba has made it clear that the Gunners are determined to end their wait for a Premier League title after finishing as runners-up three seasons in a row.

Speaking to the PA news agency, the French international admitted that while progress has been made, Arsenal know they must take the next step to finally lift the trophy.

“Of course we’ve finished second for three years in a row, and we know that we always miss something,” Saliba said. “Now it’s a new season, we have to see what we didn’t do well enough to win the league.”

The Gunners opened the new campaign with a win, and Saliba insists that confidence remains high within Mikel Arteta’s squad. “We won the first game and of course we want to win the league, and we will give everything. We have to try to be even better than the last three seasons to win this league.”

New Signings Key

Arsenal have strengthened their squad this summer with new arrivals, and Saliba believes those signings could prove decisive. “We know that the new players who came to help us, and I’m sure that they will help us to win some trophies. Of course we are already better with them. Let’s see.”

With rivals like Manchester City and Liverpool also chasing silverware, Arsenal’s margin for error will be slim. But Saliba’s comments underline the ambition and hunger in the squad. After years of near-misses, Arsenal fans will hope this season finally delivers the Premier League title back to the Emirates.
